Featured Biography – Bob Beattie
In the late 1950's he coached at the University of Colorado turning its ski team into a collegiate ski power. He was head coach of the U.S. Ski Team that won four medals at the 1964 Olympics and included eight eventual members of the Hall of Fame. In 1967 he worked with Serge Lang and Honore Bonnet to establish the World Cup ski circuit. He was the founder and commissioner of World Pro Skiing and the commissioner for NASTAR. He authored three books on skiing and commentated for ABC's Wide World of Sports.
